Well done to the 13 riders who tackled the June segment. This has further whittle;ed down the GC.  It was a tough challenge and a good introduction to 25 mile time trialling for some.

Strong times from Keith and the Mower were blown away by Rory Barrett on the last day of the month with an outstanding 57:21 and 325w.

Well done to Wendy who makes the selection and remains the sole rider n the women GC.

Rory and Wendy get a mystery prize from the VH this month.

General Classification

Rory’s strong ride has seen him overtake Keith at the head of the peloton with the Mower creeping back into third by virtue of attrition.  A good battle is evolving for the podium and for the places in the Top 10.

July Segment – the Tour Prologue – Ditching Unhinged

Celebrating the pure pain of the Tour of Sussex prologue, this month brings us a version of the Ditching Beacon climb – Ditching Unhinged.

Ditchling Unhinged

Ditchling Unhinged

This stage has a gentle incline, leading into the full Ditching Beacon climb.  Pacing will play a part here as you don’t want to hit the climb already well in the red.  The grade averages 8% for the segment but there are steeper ramps on the climb.

GC Time bonuses are on offer as follows:

  • Sub 8mins – 10s
  • Sub 7mins – 20s
  • Sub 6min – 1 min

Safety advice: Helmets are compulsory

Prizes

We will follow up with Prizes shortly.

Good luck everyone..
